I'm sorry if this question has been answered before. Because I'm new to the forums, not certain what keywords would return a result.

I have a Sony Handycam DCR-TRV33 connected via USB cable to Windows Media Encoder. I see the input screen showing the video playback from the handycam but when I click Start Encoding, the image goes blank. When I try to playback the file, I hear the audio but the video is just black.

Any ideas?

Does anyone have experience with Windows Media Encoder?

I just tried Windows Media Encoder with a DCR-TRV33 and have the same problem
