I have a Sony TRV 720 which has been great for 5 years. I recently went ot Italy, ran out of Hi8 tapes and accidentally picked up 8mm tapes on which I recorded without problem. I now want to capture and edit, but the tapes play in a jerky fashion when I replay on the camcorder. Should I find an actual 8mm camcorder to play these tapes in order to transfer the content to my own TRV 720, and then do what I usually do and capture to my computer?
