I have a Sony dcr-hc39e camcorder, and want to take the video footage onto my PC. I have a firewire cable (I-Link) to connect to my PC, but where do I go from there? Sony dont appear to provide any software? If you have a VAIO laptop, software on there allows it but its OEM software preinstalled. Any ideas? Some software that will do the capturing for me? Thanks in advance Alan |

Hi, Ive tried capturing, using ULead amongst others, and can only do MPEG/AVI/WMV at 640/480, and what I want is proper DVD quality, for playback on a TV. How can I do this? As I stated in a previous post, you can do it if you own a Sony VAIO using pre-installed software, it writes direct to the DVD with no quality loss. HELP! TIA Alan |

I have just bought this camcorder myself. I use Pinnacle studio and plug the firewire into the docking station. Pinnacle picks it up and has full contrul using this. Hope this helps. |
