I have a Samsung Mini DV Camcorder, and am trying to transfer a video on tape to the pc with USB streaming. I am using the software that came with the camcorder which is--DVC MEDIA 5.1--. The image goes on to the pc but no sound and the picture jerks and not smooth. Played on the TV the picture is perfect. Can you help me and thanks for your time. Peter |

Peter, firewire is normally the preferred and sometimes the only way to transfer high quality video to your PC. Have you considered that approach?
