I have a ton of video 8 tapes that i want to play but my Video 8 camcorder finally broke. If I buy a HI8 camcorder, will I be able to play my Video 8 tapes on a HI8 Camera?

I was wondering the same thing. I visited www.crestvideo.co.uk/Glossary.htm and in the glossary, under Video 8, it states that you can play Video 8 tapes on Hi8 players and camcorders but not Hi8 on Video 8. Check it out for yourself.
