I just switched from film to the d70. So please be gentle.

1) Is there anyway to get it to take a picture with out the delay. So you can just basically point and shoot

where it focuses and then beeps then you can take the picture

Focus manually. Realize that all cameras need to focus unless you have a fixed focus camera like an instamatic.
