Hi I am new here and I just want to know how can I transfer video to the computer? my machine has pci ieee 1394 but I am working with sony hi-8 ccd trv 128 and there is nothing on my computer that can fit or transfer as in cords....what cords do I need to get? |

Laiya, This is an analog camera, which means you will need a video capture card. The IEEE1394 input will not work with this camera. Look at the back or even front of your computer if you already have a video input jack. It is color coded in yellow and it says "VIDEO IN". If you don't have one, you need a video capture card. |

Hello All, Well I have a Pansonic GS15 cam. It has a DV output. My PC even has a Firewire port. But the issue is that when I plung to buy a firewire cable the vendor says me buy even the card and the software along with it. I wanted to know that will the 1394 cable along with some software on PC serve the purpose ? Do I really need to buy the card ? Moreover suggest which software should I buy ? Thanks Harpreet |
