Laiya,
This is an analog camera, which means you will need a video capture card. The IEEE1394 input will not work with this camera.

Look at the back or even front of your computer if you already have a video input jack. It is color coded in yellow and it says "VIDEO IN". If you don't have one, you need a video capture card.

Hello All,

Well I have a Pansonic GS15 cam. It has a DV output. My PC even has a Firewire port. But the issue is that when I plung to buy a firewire cable the vendor says me buy even the card and the software along with it.
I wanted to know that will the 1394 cable along with some software on PC serve the purpose ?
Do I really need to buy the card ?

Moreover suggest which software should I buy ?
Thanks
Harpreet
