i just bought a kodak cx7330.i could record with the video option but when i play it on the camera no sound comes out. why is that?

I don't think the camera has any speakers. However, it has audio capture, so when you play it on the computer, you should be able to hear the sound.

if you really want that type of feature, you should invest in a camcorder that takes still pictures and not the other way around.
