well folks since i decided to do installs & build boxes for ppl in my free time in my country a few mths ago - i have some pix of my stuff & customer's stuff to share with my ecoustics buddies HU i sometimes test stuff with : Eclpise CD5425
had my Rs in a pair of these boxes (a bit dusty-lol)
I just put in these ol azz Phillips home subs in this box just 4 these pix
Now 4 a Crystal sub - plays really nice !
i currently have my premier 3002 sub in this Box
^^^^- I NEED TO SAY THIS ABOUT MISLEADING POSTS I SEE ON THE FORUM ABOUT THIS SUB NOW ! - ppl say its a strictly SPL sub = BS ! When brand new yes its supper stiff & plays a high freq spl annoying like bass BUT when broken in plays quite decent SQL low freq bass in fact mine is tuned around 32hz & plays really good SQL 4 a low budget sub more pix coming very soon >>>>>>>>>>>>....... } |

some power cable - Red is a brand called GD ,silver is Stinger
another slot port box
^^^^will post pix of this box with a sub in it soon =========================================== Now i have to build a box for this used Sony XPlode & brand new 12" RE SX sub by tuesday for 2 different owners - 12" 3002 Premier is mine but just thought i let loose some pix on it too
this CF VR1000d is gonna power the RE SX sub in a 2006 ford focus sedan
i know every1 on ecoustics hates sony subs but trust me it sounded quite decent in that black box higher up in this thread - low\fairly loud even though powered a cheap Legacy amp in a 1997 civic I hope u guys enjoy these pic since it took me over an hr 2 resize all of em - stay tuned 4 boxes 4 these subs being made in a few days by yours truly ........ |

thanx guys yep alot of ppl just read online reviews of that 3002 premier sub & then tell every1 its strickly spl but hell NO its quite loud with quite good daily driven SQ Its almost as loud as my 2 12s type Rs but not quite as clean but hey 4 the $ it cant be beat & to tell u how loud in my ride it shakes ur clothes & affects the way ur voice sounds coming out ur throat : NO lie ! that SX when we tried it yesterday since its new & still as heck plays sorta high freq bass but i know it will gr8ly improve when broken in since thats pretty much how my premier sub sounded @ 1st which was kinda boomy Now i will give u guys a preview of a slot port box im building 4 the xplode sub >>>>>
when i carpet it hopefully tomorrow i will post back some more pix .........

this is my next job - box for 1 12" RE SX sub here is a preview ,it has 2 be edge sanded slightly then carpeted

here is the completed carpeted box which is an upgrade of this install http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/4/260717.html
lets just say customer was very satisfied as well as worried since within seconds of playing this sub the headliner in car near the 3rd brake light just became detached ! & well everything in his car now is rattleing like a mofo so his next paycheck is full dynamat . Imagine what will happen when this usb is fully broken in & them damn lows start 2 kick in -lol & no im not gonna share specs of this box .... |

wow i havent added to this thread since january & have done so much stuff since then & sometimes it just slips my mind to take pix - well i owe u guys some pix so here goes : this install was in janaury on a 1997 Nissan Sentra which i worked on alongside the owner & his bro car is shaped like this
System is this : RF Hu AC EQL Autotek Xover Power Acoustik Gothic Series 4 chan amp powering 2 6s in fr doors , 2 1" PA Tweets & 2 PA Bullet tweets in the rear Hifonics 2 channel powering 2 8s Beyma midrange speakers on rear dash Hif Brutus 200D mono on a 15" Hif Goliath sub - i did not build the box since the owner already had it Stinger wiring 1 yellow top in the trunk some parts of this may look unfinished but it was neatened up after pix were taken
system was made for the streets & quit loud\clear ... more pix of other stuff coming sooooon ! ..... |

like i said above - done other stuff too but no pix was taken cause i keep forgetting to take them 2007 10" pioneer TS-w257D2 ...every1 who has heard this b4 seeing it ask if its a 12" .....shakes steering column in my ride
2007 12" Pioneer TS-W307D2
what i currently run in my wagon right now is a pair of crystal 50wrms 6.5" coax in front doors here are my soundstream 2 chan amp & the ol' alpine F545
Recent addition , Soundstream 5xo Preamp - this thing puts out a rca voltage of 10v ! & makes a hugh difference of overall system output
My current bass amp - Soundstream Picasso 2000D
these r my 3 "bat-mobile" type switches lol, each can instantly shut off each of the 3 amps individually (*its simple to do - since each is connected to the REM wire)
1 yellow top in trunk (1 more in engine bay) & my current sub since January - 1 12" Atomic Quantum series , rated 500wrms but itakes 1,000wrms regularly without complaining lol

i did a box last wk for 1 brand new 15 RF HEX2 but damn i forgot to take pix of it b4 owner came for it & it sounded so loooud\deeeeeeep\cleannnnnnn but he said he will email some pix of it but here is what i finished up today for another person ... 2 Blue 15" Audiopipe 1,000wrms model space was very limited in his suzuki vitara 4 seaters since its trunk is not big @ all
due to space limit it could have only worked in a 5.8 cuft after displacment single chamber box with only 2 4" Aeroports tuned 34-35hz & u can see how serious i braced it inside ever though slightly undersized this sh!t wangs HARD | DEEP | LOUD ! - SQ is not super accurate but decent enough for a budget sub & box has no vibrations u can feel , both subs r dual 4ohms & powered by a Soundstream Picasso 2000d amp with 8g power wire on the subs .....pretty darn good loud\budget system ...... } |

Thanks guys ! well story with the audiopipe subs was that the owner & i talked about him getting either 1 good 15 or 2 12s but when he went to buy these subs were fairly cheap so he got nutty & went overboard & bought 2 15s then asked me to work with it in such a limited space . So only 2 tube ports could fit & i had decided to use aeroports to reduce any port noise & give more output from it . It pounds very hard skipping my premier 860 deck & cause the hood to flap on certain songs in my ride when i tried it in there - but no audible port noise Tasos - i answered in the sub section The Hif sub played decent even though it was tuned 37hz to handle the brutus 2000d on it - i personally would have tuned it about 35hz to get more lows . Its not something i would get for myself but the owner loves it ....... |

k kidz this s what i made today for some1 single chamber single port 4.5cuft box for a 1998 Mitsubishi Galant VRG Sedan (rather small trunk for such a long car) - 2 12s Audiobahn AW1200V rated 700wrms each ,those blasted subs has a Fs of 35hz ! - so i tuned it 37hz for SQL streetbass now the owner didnt bring the AB subs when he came to collect the box so i tested my 2 12s Soundstream XPRO 500wrms subs in em & MAN IT SLAMS HARD !
Mr. Rovin does it once again ..... |
