Hey, I just have a quick question. I am trying to connect my computer soundcard to a home theater system located in another room in my home. I ran the cable through a pipe leading to the system and got it all hooked up and eveything. I am receiving a weak signal, but there is a horrible hum. There is a data network and phone cable traveling near or maybe even in the same pipe. Could it be that they are inducing the hum on the line, or is the fault most likely my cable?

In other words...Do data and phone lines induce a hum on an audio line when run together?

If anyone can help me on this it would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Jordan
