I am installing a wall plate for my speaker wires and am wondering what kind of terminations to use, RCA inputs or banana jacks? Is there a difference and is one better than the other??

Use banana jacks.

RCA are designed for line level. Banana connectors are designed for speaker level (much higher current).

Use RCA only for the sub which is usually line level.
