Hi. I just purchased a home that is wired for just about everything but it seems that they overlooked one simple item. The main wall in the family room on which the TV/entertainment center would go only has 6 RCA cables available. The previous owners had a wall-mounted plasma display. Unfortunately, there is no Coax cable available on this wall. There is a closet in the room where all of the cables come together (coax and RCA -- that's where the previous owners kept their satellite tuner). However, I would like to keep the satellite tuner in an entertainment center in the family room (that way I can use my IR remotes in addition to UHF).
So, my question -- is there any way to convert the Coax line in the closet to the RCA cables that run to the wall and then back to Coax in order to plug into the satellite tuner? The Dish Network installer tells me that RCA cables don't have the frequency range or voltage rating to carry the signal. Is the only option to try and fish a Coax line to this wall?

I think the Dish installer is probable correct about the satellite signal through the RCA cables. However, they do make the adapter you're looking for

use a cheap VCR. Thats all u need.
Or u can buy a 200 dollar demodulator. Id go with a cheap Hifi VCR |
