I bought a Sanyo TV around 4 years ago and chose the particular model for its S-Video input. Well, took the thing home and found out that when the S-video input is used it cancels out the rca input. I just stuck with rca until now. I'm tired of a crappy picture and want my S-Video. What is the major difference between active and passive RCA to S-Video converters and is one of the many types of source switch boxes that take in rca and/or s-video and put out both rca and s-video an option? I will run s-video from my dvd to my receiver and then monitor out s-video to the tv, but I need to bump the vcr to s-video. I also tooled around with the idea of upgrading the vcr to a simple, cheap super vhs...any thoughts?
