Any thoughts on using car stereo cables for home theater use. There are some high quality cables available from Orion and Monster that cost less than those specific to home theater.

I am having the same thoughts as a previous author. The environment of a car is much noisier that that in a house so I would expect the auto cables to be designed with shielding in excess of that required for home hifi. However, the ability of the cables to produce great sounds might not be the primary concern of the auto cable designer. Has anybody investigates this?
