hi guys I need advice for my home theater setup, consisting of the equipment listed below. My question boils down to this: with the mac and projector on one side of the room and the projection screen and turntables on the far side, on which side should I place my receiver? I feel my receiver (bi-amping the Infinities) should be near the speakers, (future) center and turntables, to keep main speaker cables short. But if I want to use the faroudja upscaling capability of the receiver, the video cable (component to (component) HD D-sub15) needs to be just over 50 tf long... But if I place the amp near the projector, a whole bunch of speaker cables, optical and cinch audio interconnects need to travel that distance. What placement and cabletypes and lengths would be best? Please advise! I won't say anything except I'd put it close to the speakers. |
