I am going to buy a set of Monster MCX-1 bi wire cables. I am confused as whether an interconnect cable will do me any good to go with the bi wire cables. I also have no idea how to hook up an interconnect and what it does exactly. Any help would be great. Thanks

An interconnect is just a cable that connects a piece of equipment into another. For example, you use an interconnect cable to connect a DVD player to a receiver.

Bi-wire cables are for speakers. Essentially they are just speaker wires designed to connect the speaker output of the receiver to the inputs of the speaker(speakers with 2 pairs of inputs).
