I was in a pinch and used a video cable to run my subwoofer. I did this for months and it worked fine.

Now I want to use this as a digital coax for my cd player and am wondering if I could have ruined this cable by running my sub off it.

I would think it wouldnt matter, but I am not sure

There should be no problem. Coax has excelent shielding, low attenuation and very wide bandwidth (in the GHz) and is cheap and duarable. It's a little stiff and thich though.

Go for it.
