Well today i was at my older cousins house and he gave me his xbox he no longer plays video games. It has component cables but so dose my dvd player and ps2 and so here my question
At my local walmart i can buy a philips Av selecter that has four inputs each one has these
composite
S-video
Component
audio red/white
becuase i have 3 component and only one s video this should work fine and would be great becuase i only have one audio input on my Mini system amp
the only problem is the selecter is not gold plated how much of a different is that gonna make?
in the picture/sound, all of my cable are gold plated
any help or other ideas would be great |

Gold plating is just a way to keep corrosion and oxidation at bay and thus maintain a consistent contact.
Gold is actually a poor electrical conductor.
so don't worry too much about it. |

Silver and copper are only slightly better conducters than gold, which isn't a poor conductor. |

Well the inputs/outputs on this look sivler
but i found a better one with gold plated and it seems to be a bite better made

If you think you're going to get a receiver, I'd just use that. Unless you've got a high end TV and/or long cable runs, you should be able to use a switcher or receiver either one without considerable, if any, picture loss. |

Well David i got a Lcd and some monster cable now if you remeber my problem is that i dont have enough inputs on my tv one of each,i wqs thinking of a pioneer or a yamaha would i lost any picture going throw the receiver? |

couple on months Berny sense i knew about the Wii and well i dont have enough inputs anymore on my amp,and i no those arnt the best brands but they look like they will work for me
