I've got a Radeon 9600 AIW video card, and i'm currently using a regular TV-out to hook it up to my Sony CRT tv. The picture quality is horrible. I mean, it's OK for watching full-screen movies, but i practically can't see anything in Windows. My question is: would S-Video connection make the picture look any better? Thanks in advance! |

If it's not a hi-def monitor, it's a waste of time. If it is a HD set, you need to adjust your screen resolution settings to whatever makes the tv happy. S-video is without a doubt better than composite, it will help to use the S-Vid cable. Like I said though, if it's not HD, it's not going to look good no matter how much you tweak it. |

Configure the notebook to output to an external monitor. Check out your function button and F8 or F5. |
