Hi there, I've come to this forum to ask a question to you fine people who have more expertise with home audio technology. Nintendo Revolution is a home console coming from Nintendo.. only thing is they're keeping everything very secretive. They've filed a patent which we're trying to make sense of at the moment, you can see an image of it here: http://oami.eu.int/bulletin/rcd/2006/2006_012/000431309_0001.htm From the right we have 2 USB ports, a fan, then we have a longer AV connection which has been confirmed from Nintendo techies. then the figure of 8 connector is power supply. There is one tiny mystery port.. we had a thought that it could be digital optical audio out but seeing the standard used on my mac here: It's not quite the same.. we know it's not going to be an ethernet port because this would raise the cost of the system, and the system already has 2 usb ports and wireless built in. Your thoughts would really be appreciated, and if you can confirm it t be audio or definitely not digital audio that would be great. Other therories were that it was a firewire port, or some kind of Nintendo standard port for a reciever that would sit on top of the television. Thanks in advance. - Sp. |

Just thought I'd add, the controller for the system is wireless.. and Nintendo's aim for the console is to make it as cheap as possible.. I forgot you might not know much about it. There's plenty about it on Google if you're interested.
