Are Toslink cables & Fiber Optical audio cables the same thing? I want to hook up my surround sound through my receiver that accepts fiber optic cables, but not sure which one to get.

You need a TOSLink cable. I picked up a couple of pretty good cables on ebay for a very reasonable price. Here's a link for a 3' cable
