Alright...how important is the Y-ground pin on an S-Video cable? I accidentally busted it off while moving home theatre equipment yesterday.

Obviously, it works fine, since I didn't damage the Y or C pin. I have it hooked up from my Gamecube to my 42-inch Plasma...still looks great!

But, I'm really concerned about no ground pin...could this short out my tv?

I'd rather not replace the entire wire (that would require me to go outside, in the snow, and redo wiring in the conduit attached to the house).

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
