It's the S-Video cable for my PS2 console game system. I broke the pin in the picture below. http://tinypic.com/iel4hw.jpg However, the picture still displays fine. I broke this in my first time use(it's a cheap, poorly made version. I was given a choice between 5$ and 50$ S-video cable, I choosed the 5$ one) so I'm not sure how the picture quality will be if it's not broke. I've few questions. 1. I'm wondering what's the prupose of that pin anyway... It's completely broken and the picture still display fine. 2. Is it ok to continue using this? I mean, will I get better picture quality if this pin is not broke? Or will it, by any chance, damage the TV ot PS2 if I continue using it? Thank you |

that isn a pin per se, it's a tab to ensure the pins line up properly so you aren't pushing too hard and forcing the metal sleeve to fit outside of it's slot and breaking your pins |

How did you end up breaking the tab? |
