Umm are the component cables same as the composite cables? Say if I used a composite cable with video, L audio and R audio as a component video cable would it be the same quality? If not what’s the difference? |

There are arguments that coaxial is 75ohms while audio composite may just be 50ohms. 50 ohms is normally OK for sounds but insufficient for picture quality. I haven't read any technical document about this comparison. Has anyone read one? |

No they are not the same He is right you need 75ohms to get the right picture qulity, They completly diffrent constructions. |

Gabriel is absolutely right. Composite video cables are NOT interchangeable w/ Component Video cables. |
