I just bought a home theater system the Onkyo HTS650. I need to get pin connectors, banana connectors, 14 gauge speaker wire, s-video cable and a digital optical cable. I stopped at Radio Shack and was surprised how expensive this stuff is. Speaker wire 14 gauge (50 foot $20). Gold plated pin connectors (2 pair $10). Is there any stores or online web sites anyone could recommend where this can be purchased for less.

Go to Walmart and get the Monster Kit 100. With cables you need to get the best.
What gauge wires came with the system? |

I just ordered several rolls of 14 Gauge Copper Speaker Wire from www.speakermax.com
They are the cheapest I've seen on the net.
14 Gauge 50 Ft. Rolls for $5, 100 Ft. for only $12
They even sell MonsterXP cable, which include the pin connectors.
The only drawback is you have to order by Phone, but customer service was very nice & helpful.
