Can you boost an already boosted signal????

I already have a booster downstairs for the main tv and have a wire transmiting the signal upstairs to my bedroom. I have channels 1-5 normal tv and channel 6 as sky, which is whatever sky channel is on downstairs.
However, I was wondering if adding a booster to my tv upstairs would actually work??

you may want to try one but, the "booster" (re:amp) will boost everything on the line so point is if has interference on it it could boost it as well. You would want to put the booster at the signal source hopefully before the interference gets into the cable downstairs If I followed your system right.

hope that helps
