Honestly, this movie looks awesome. I love all movies for what they are, and with a line like "When you're pushed, killings as easy as breathing" you can't go wrong for blood and guts action. |

Can you say writer strike? Put enough advertising behind anything in this country and it'll do well. |

2 roven:: There should be a LIST of movies it is Forbidden by law to remake: I suggest the following movies be put on that list. you may have others. Some, like 'Miricle on 34th Street' have already been butchered. 1. Psycho. already redone and obliterated. 2. Forbidden Planet. Perfect 50's SciFi. 3. Casa Blanca. How could they even think that? 4. I Am Legend is argueably better than the 1st remake, Omega Man and better than the 'original' Last Man on Earth. Sequels are another catagory altogether. VERY FEW even come up to the originals standards. GodFather II comes to mind. But the sequels to AmeriCan Pie were feeble at best. Movie fans should demand better movies. |

As moviefans...we all demand better, is there anyone out there that demand remakes or lousy re-imaginings? But Hollywood will make the movies they think will make money. That's why they have all those "film festivals"...a lot of great movies but I think it is also a test of its commercial viability. |

You're looking at a different era when it comes to movies. Some of the young members here have never seen/heard of Godfather or The Omen. Today it's quick laughs and amazing special effects that sell tickets, which by the way are quadruple what they were 10 years ago. As a child my Saturday nights were all about the drive-in. My mom would pop a garbage bag full of popcorn(no lie, I'm one of 5) and we'd catch the triple feature. A car load for $5. My father would put us all in the bed of his truck where we'd watch the movies. The playground during intermissions, getting $2 to go to the concession stand, catching ppl making out lol. It's still deep in my memory. Grease, E.T., Star Wars, Close Encounters, all classics in their time and some still today. There really isn't a substitute for nostalgia. |
