-You’re file shows no kills Bond, but to become a “00” it takes? -Two. -How did he die? -You’re contact. -Not well. -You needn’t worry the second is… -Yes considerably. Well, well I was thoroughly impressed the stunts again are true Bond with blunter edge and tight film editing by Stuart Baird kept it moving extremely fast. Sets looked the part by Peter Lamont. Cinematography by Phil Mehlux was shape and refreshing as a Martini. Sound mix completely wowed me it was a like breath of fresh air with this superbly six-track Dolby digital mix that was hidden with lots of surrounding surprises that just unleashed with this afternoons showing. “Christ, I miss the Cold War” M Casino Royale 2006 The wild chase scene and hand to hand combat in though under and overhead in chapters 3 and 4 it was inexhaustible. David Arnold score keeps the tension and action moving with grand sense of panache in the style of John Barry, wonderfully composed.
-Hello Mr. White. -Mr. White? We need to talk. Yes who is? The name’s Bond. James Bond.: YES!!! Bond and Mr. White Casino Royale 2006 Martin Campbell is on par with John Glen and Campbell’s second outing now with Bond only hope he does a third to keep this lasting into the next decade. Ratings Picture 10/10 Sound 10/10 Overall 10/10 |

At the very end of the credits they promise "JAMES BOND WILL RETURN", giving no clue as to what or when. A stunning Bond flick, maybe the best one yet. "Cinematography by Phil Mehlux was shape and refreshing as a Martini." Or better yet, a Vesper. From Ian Fleming's book: "Just a moment. Three measures of Gordon's, one of vodka, half a measure of Kina Lillet. Shake it very well until it's ice-cold, then add a large thin slice of lemon peel. Got it?" Later in the movie Bond says I think I'll call that drink "Vesper" (after Vesper Lynde the treasury agent). Since Kina Lillet is no longer available a good substitute is Lillet Blonde. I haven't tried one yet but I will. |
