The man with the hat Indiana Jones is 25 years old today, on this day 25 years ago “Raiders of the Lost Ark” June 12th 1981, played to audiences in the USA and not soon after worldwide, this as spurned two sequels with the dashing archaeologist with Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
There have been countless mini episodes of a younger Indiana Jones getting his neck up into some scrapes as well.
When Raiders of the Lost Ark was released in the UK several weeks later, I first saw a 35mm print of it at a small cinema just outside of London, when I was on school holidays.
When I retuned back home, I saw again this time around in the splendour of 70mm six-track Dolby Stereo, wow what an event!
So where you when it came out, and where you around at the time? |
