im getting sick of cahnging the settings everytime i get in my car. i have an AIWA deck. I think the memory wire is brown but i dont have a brown wire running from the deck, i only have one running from the factory harnest or whatever. does any1 know how i can fix this.

P.S. i know this question is stupid but i dont know a lot about music. :-)

wrong section. this is amplifiers, not head units.

you don't match colors, by the way.
the memory wire from the radio is most likely yellow.
+12 ignition is likely red
ground is black
blue is remote/power antenna
illumination is usually orange

what does illumination do? my illumination wire isnt used but my deck works fine. and my mute wire isnt plugged in and deck works fine?

illumination usually dims the display when your head lights are on.
if the radio has a separate "dimmer control" wire, that gives a variable illumination when you brighten or dim the dash display.
mute is for a cell phone cradle, or similar, to mute the stereo when the phone rings.
