Hey, i have 2 10" alpine type r subs(1041d) they are dvc 4 ohm, and i have a 2 channel amp. I have seen pretty much all sub wiring configurations so it seems. For one sub it can be wired parallel to get a 2 ohm load or series to get an 8 ohm load. My question is can i just wire both subs like the top option here http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/S-LjVEZR2HBB6/learningcenter/car/subwoofers_wi ring.html?subs=1&impedance=DVC4x2 then the subs each to their own channel on my amp would that give a resistance of 2 ohms for each sub or would it be one ohm? The amp is stable at 2 ohms

That link is dead or just doesn't work so I can't really see what your talking about, but yeah you could do that. I think I would prefer wiring the voice coils in series(2 8 ohm subs) and then wire the subs in parallel giving you a 4 ohm load. I'd then bridge the amp into this setup. Less wiring and "holes" in your box this way and you don't have to worry about the possibilty of L/R channel imbalances.

It would probably work just fine in "stereo" tho.
