I just bought 2 12" MTX Thunder 8000 subs and i was wondering what would be a good amp for them. They max at 800 watts each, RMS is 400 watts each, and they are 4 ohms. Any input would be appreciated. |

If you go ported, the Kicker KX600.1 would be great because they are usually underated (put out about 700w RMS to give 350w per sub). You can find them for about $275 or a little less. MTX 801D would also be a good choice, about $260 shipped. The Phoenix Gold OCTANE R8.0:1 would give full power to your subs. $245 shipped. The Hifonics Brutus BX1000D would also work. $240 Shipped That's all on ebay.... |
