I just installed an Alpine 9830 head unit . The head unit is connected to a power amp only via RCA cables -- no speakers directly wired to it. The radio will play fine through the power amp, no problem, and the unit will load and play a CD, but not output anything through the RCA outputs. If I connect a speaker to the radio harness, the CD becomes audible. I swapped with another Alpine 9830 and had the same problem ... CD audio is output to the speaker wires but not the RCA outputs. Any ideas?

TIA
Vic

easy fix.
wire the amplifier's remote trigger line to the REM wire, not the PWR ANT wire.
power antenna only sends +12V when the radio is on. :-)
REM sends +12V whenever the head unit is powerd on, regardless of source.
