Got a good price on a pair of CDT ES630's (Euro Sports). To drive them I need a good CLEAN 150 watts per channel amp. Cost should be within reason, but then again, I don't want the amp to be the weak link in the chain. At the moment I'm debating Hifonics vs. US Acoustics. Hifonics has a good rep, but I've never heard anything about US Acoustics. As far as specs, US Acoustics has the edge -- THD is .01%, S/N is 103 dB; for Hifonics, THD is .03%, S/N is 95 dB. I know technical specs aren't everything, but...
Any thoughts and/or recommendations? |
