I have an alpine cda d852 GM/Chrysler fit cd player hooked up to a PPI PC2600 that powers a Kappa Perfect 12. There is a thump from my sub when I change tracks or radio stations. please help.

that isnt as bad as when i turn off my radio and my subs start spaz'n crazy bass for no reason, but maybe your gain is too high and silance turns into "thump" cuz that was my problem for awhile

Yeh...When i shut off my deck when i'm driving i get this weird noise from my speakers thats really anyoning....Its like this loud crack and then a bunch of steady static after that. Is this a short in some wires or what???

prolly a ground loop, or alternator noise...i've had that problem before...

check your ground wires and RCA's...
