ok ive been reading up on this stuff and am starting to learn, but what do you think a good multi-channel amp would be? for under 325 shipped.
..and correct me if im wrong, but multichannel means you can hook up subs and speakers and all that...unlike mono where you can just hook up one thing?

I would go with a 4 channel amp. That would allow you to run two subs and a set of speakers or one sub and a set of speakers. Look on ebay and type in 4 channel amp and you will get alot of choices.

good luck.

I myself would run a large amp for the subs such as a mono amp. And run a smaller amp for the door speakers. What kind of subs and speakers are you using and what is the RMS value of each?

Yup 2 amps. The alpines I would throw that idea and look into 2 12" Cerwin Vega V-max. For the amp a JBL 600.1. For the door speakers check out a set of Infinity components. The subs can be picked up here for about 180 bucks shipped.

www.onlinecarstereo.com

For the JBL you can do a quick search on the net and pick one of those up for about 250 shipped.

The components can be had here.

Good Luck
