HEy I put up one post already but here is another. You guys probably know I have the MTX 9512 Dual 4 and hooked up to MTX 81000D. Well I think somethings wrong with my amp cause latly its been acting up. I had it hooked up to Xtant 1001 and it sounded alot better. So I dont know my subs peak is 2000watts so I wanted to put at least clean 1000-1500watts. I know with a 1000watt amp clean power is prolly around 800 to 900. So I looked into Rockford the Punch 1501db last years and this years. Do you guys think I will get more power out of that then my MTX. Or anything else that will put out close to 1500 that I can get on eBay for cheap but good. Need your help. My sub is wired to 2ohm. Help out and if you have anything for sale. I dont want to spend more then 350 on ebay. |

look at a JBL BP1200.1
it'll deliver 1200wRMS for you.
it's a shame you're having trouble with the MTX. good amplifier.
are you sure your electrical system is up to the task of these big amplifiers?
that may be the problem, right there..
forget Kole. It's a rebadged Legacy if I recall.. one of those crap companies.

by the way if ya go with the JBL, forget eBay.
www.etronics.com has it for a good price, and it'll be new, with full warranty.

Yeah Kove is the good stuff I forgot. I know but Iam running 4 guage instead of 0 but I get 14 volts so I dont know I have a new battery. But I really think something is wrong with the amp. There was smoke coming out I look back and the god damn ground came out and leaning on the power. So I think that did it. Do you really think the JBL will cut it. You didnt say anything about the Kicker Punch 1501 sais it puts out 1500 rms? What you think |

4AWG is fine.
4AWG is good for up to 150A. the 1200.1 draws 110A max according to the manual.
if the amp was shorted out then yeah you toasted it.
Kove is a good company. Kole isn't.
The Kicker KX1200.1 puts out 600wRMS x 1 @ 2 Ohms.
not powerful enough for you.
The RF amp is ok. I'm just not a big RF fan.
