i have no knowledge of this stuff whatsoever...but am looking to put a nice system in my pathfnder i just got.. i was talkin 2 a friends and he recommended these subs (http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/item_info?p_item_name=SWR-1241D&p_category=7 0&p_subcategory=150&p_main=10&p_more=y)......so if i got those what kind of amp/speakers/other junk would i need?? i have like a 800 dollar budget btw...thanks in advance |

SPL = Sound Pressure Level (The Boom)
SQ = Sound Quality (self explanitory)
The Cerwin Vega VMAX 12" subwoofer is a better sub for about the same money.
YOu can get 2 VMax's for $179.98 shipped from acaraudio.com at below link

A good amplifier would be either the MTX 801d for about $260 Shipped.

That would leave you $310 for a box which is more than Plenty to go ported or sealed and have money left over. With that much left over a lot of the guys that know their stuff would suggest an Adire Bramha or RE X X X. But they are in the High $300s low $400s each. However you would only need one  Anyway....

aite cool thanks...i woudnt need new speakers though..or are the stock ones enough? and is there a site that explains what all this stuff means i would like to research and learn about this. |
