I have 2 100 watt 3 inchers in my dash and 2 15" subs in the back with a 50x4 reciever and when i turn it up, say past 30, it starts sounding all distorted to the point where it is just unable to actually hear the actual music, will a amp help this? or is there something else i should do?

Well for starters I hope you have an amp on the subs. And what kind of speakers do you have in the dash? Because that 100 watts is most likely a peak number. You need to know the RMS value. Your headunit is prolly pushing and 22 watts RMS.
