what is the difference between these two? and what is their use? my amp has both these options but i am not sure how to use them properly, i wanted to get the best sound out of my amp. also, What is the relation between these and the tuning of my box. it is a subzone box tuned to 37hz

Well a subsonic filter should only be used if you have a ported or vented box, it prevent the subs from trying to play below the ported frequencies.
when the subs do this in a vented box, they lose damping, and will excurse easily. That will blow yah subs out. If you into spl it should be tunes to around 50 to 60hz but if your port it is tuned to 37hz leave it there. The LPF is just your crossover frequency that just stops certain tones from reaching your subs leave that at around 80hz
