i was wondering what kind of amp i should get for 2 12 inch kicker L'5's and how much that would cost me.

those are some solid subs. W/o a doubt you have to go with some kind of a class d amp. Id go with directed 1500d, and have it bridged and wired to 1 ohm. Youll get 600w RMS into each sub w/ that setup. That amp would cost you anywhere between 300 and 500 bucks.
