I just bought a 2400 watt lanzar vibe amp to power my 2 12" audiobahn subwoofers. The amp pushes out 600watt x 2 RMS at 4ohm and 1000watts x 2 RMS at 2ohms. My stock alternator is 110amps and the lights dim to a light glow when the amp kicked in so i unhooked it to avoid screwing my car up to the point i wouldnt be able to drive it. So my question is what amp alternator should i invest in to power my car and system properly. Could i possibly get my stock alternator rewound to give it enough juice? I have the stereo wired to 4ohm right now but i would like to wire down to 2ohm in the future so i need an alternator to power a 2000watt system. |
