The 130 one should be fine. I had a bd500 which was 600 rms and upgraded to a yellow top. So if your only gonna run that amp the 130 should be fine.

What was your stock alternator rated at? That JBL will draw around 60 amps or a little more at full draw, if you have an alternator with that much or more reserve after taking account of the accessories of the vehicle, you'll be fine.

Oops, didn't see that it was 100A, sorry. It really depends on how many accessories the vehicle has to run, does it have a lot of electrical accessories?(alarm, power everything, a lot of computer control, etc.) I personally would get a 180 amp to have headroom for the alternator, this will strain it much less.

the only thing electrical in my truck that isnt stock is my HU and amp...i was wondering if the 130A or the 130A would be enough, it says it would give 85A at idle and my stock 100A one only gave bout 60A at idle, would the 130A do???

or do you still think i should go w/ the 180A?...i need to order as soon as i can!!!

If your going with a higher output alternator then also upgrade your battery too. Now that I look at the prices you might as well go with the 180 not much of a price difference. This will allow you to upgrade your door speakers and all and put a nice decent amp on those also.
