I'm having a hard time picking out components for my 96 civic. I believe I have 5.25's in the front doors and I'm not going to be paying for custom door panels or modifying the doors in any way. I am considering just using the Alpine 9833 to power a decent set of components. I know the better way to go would be using external amp and nicer components but I would like to try the cheaper route. I know the speakers won't be class A but I'm sure even having a class C setup would be better than my factory setup.

My question is what speakers would run well off of that Alpine HU and would the depth on the driver of an aftermarket component set fit? I would appreciate any advice on what speakers would work for the setup I'm considering.

I believe Polk DB6500s are your only choice.
