I'm looking to buy a pair of components that would run off 26watts rms from a Alpine 9835. I understand I won't be getting the best quality but I do want something that will at least sound better than the factory speakers. I own a 96 civic so size does matter, I can fit 6.5" after some modification but 5.5" would be a better choice.

I just bought the 9835 a couple of weeks ago too . . . sweet deck, eh? :D

Mine is currently powering the factory speaker of my Lexus ES300, which are actually pretty decent Pioneers and it sounds good. It just distorts when I try to crank it because the factory speakers are designed for low wattage. I think I am going to replace my factory speakers too . . .

Good luck,
Bryan
