My car is a 1981 Mercedes-Benz 230E. It has a 55amp alternator. I have a Crossfire CFA602 and I think this amp is sucking up more amps than the alternator can put out. Is there any way to increase the output of the alternator by having a proffesional adding more copper to it? Or do I need to buy I new one? If I do buy a new one, where would I buy one and how much?

Your best bet would be too buy a new alternator. About 100amps should be enough. Good Luck
