my stock alt is 140, and per Glasswolf's calculation information I need at least 120a more but alterstart.com only has up to 200.... I don't want to add a second alt to my car and I'd love it if someone could tell me where I can get a larger alt, 97 riviera

thanks

that'd be if you plan to run your system at absolute full volume.
just install the system and see if you have a problem
if you do, upgrade to teh 200A alternator and see if that fixes it.
every time you double the volume, you're using ten times the power, so you can see how decreasing from full volume reduces power usage quickly.
you may not need the full 120A of additional juice.

ah, thanks Glasswolf, would be nice if I didn't have to spend another 200+ dollars on another alt
