Where do the Infinity Kappa Perfects 6.1's fall in the Focal line of speakers? Just want a they are better than these, but definitely not better than these! What I’m after here is are there any Focal components for around the same price maybe a little more. That you might take over the Infinity Perfect's 6.1 that I found on EBay for $199... Thanks in advance, This board has helped me out a lot and I appreciate it. Clay

I would say they fall between the Focal Access and Polyglass lines. The Access line is more akin to Infinity's Kappa line, but (in my opinion) the Perfects are not nearly as refined as the V2 (Polyglass) 6.5" components. The Perfects are enough SQ (and power) for the average enthusiast, and certainly the most quality you can get in that price range. Stepping up to the V2s will cost almost 50% more (~$300). Deciding whether you need the V2s (or K2s, or Utopias) is definitely up to an audition. -Matt |

Thank you Matt, for that post. I have now heard all of the focals, and the Infinity kappa Perfects.... I think the Focal 165V2's sound pretty good, as good if not better than the Perfect's to me.. I do not claim to have a good ear of any sort, and this is just my opinion. I think I will go with Focal for my ear, and maybe look into a better model Focal in the future.. thanks again.. my system is almost complete. Clay |
