I was wondering what amp would be best to power two 12" Solo-Baric L7s (dual 4ohm voicecoils) with a peak power handling of 1500 watts and a RMS of 750 watts.

Thanks for the help in advance.

You can wire those subs at 4 ohm or 1 ohm.

You have a couple of choices. Look for an amp that puts out 1500 rms at 1 ohm or look for a 2 channel amp that puts out 1500 rms bridged at 4 ohms. What is your budget?

Most will say they suck but the hifonics bx1500 will proably be your best choice in that price range.

How about if I went with one of the legacy amps that are over 2000 watts here:

basically, all the stuff I've heard about the legacy amps is negative, they overrate their power or something is what I've read

How about any at that store, because they have really good prices.

I've used generic sound equipment before and found no problems with it, so there has to be at least a few cheaper, quality amps for sale on there.

Yea but legacy is not one of them. I would go with the hifonics for the price you wanna pay. Trust me. Another thing is look at the fuse size the amp has. If it says it puts out lets say 2000 watts and only has a 30 amp fuse no way no how is that amp gonna put out that much power.
