Memphis MC1000D - good amp Kicker KX1200.1 - too small JBL BP1200.1 - good amp, no subsonic filter Directed 1100D - not a bad amp. not great. a bit small MTX 1501D - great amp. lots of power Kicker SX1250.1 - too small SOUNDSTREAM VGA1600.2 Van Gogh - adequate power. Not a big fan of soundstream. owned by directed.

So do you think itd be best to go with the mtx 1501D? If my subs rms is 600 and the max is 1800, this mtx amp puts out 750x1 rms at 4 ohms, and the max would be around the 1500 right? running this at 4 ohms would be better SQ then running it at 2 ohms anyways right? and running it at 4 ohms I should still have no problems pushing my 2 subs right? |

Don't even worry about the max rating. The JBL 1200.1 will give the ideal power, and the MTX will have more power than needed, but will be fine as long as you're careful not to overdrive the subs. Look at the 2 ohm rating of the amp, not the 4 ohm, since you have 2 2 ohm DVC subs. 4 ohm would be ideal, but can't be done with your subs unless you only run one. |

Cody if your subs are 600 watts RMS each then you need a 1200 watt RMS amp NOT a 1600. Look around for a 2 channel 1200 watt amp. Also you can look at a SoundStream 1000/1 it will push your subs good. Heres a website where you can get it pretty cheap. http://www.acaraudio.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=26&products_id=452 |

hehe sounds similar to mine. I'm using an orion XTR2250 bridged for each of my RE triple X 12" subs. works nicely.
